Privacy Policy
Effective September 9, 2026
Taread is a tarot-learning and private reading-journal application. This policy explains what information Taread collects, why it is used, and the choices available to you.
Information we collect
Google account information
When you choose Continue with Google, Taread receives the basic account information needed to identify and display your account, such as your email address, name, profile image, and a unique account identifier. Taread does not receive your Google password or access your Gmail, contacts, Drive files, or other Google content.
Content you create
Taread stores your card-learning progress and the reading journals you choose to save, including dates, reading subjects, questions, selected cards, interpretations, and reflections.
Device and usage information
Taread uses browser storage to keep the app responsive and preserve progress on your device. Vercel Web Analytics may process limited technical and usage information, such as visited pages, referrers, browser or device type, and general location, so we can understand how the site is used.
How we use information
We use this information only to:
- sign you in and restore your session;
- save and synchronize your learning progress and journals;
- operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve Taread; and
- understand aggregate site usage.
We do not sell your personal information or use your private journal entries for advertising.
Storage and service providers
Supabase provides authentication and database storage. Vercel hosts the website and provides web analytics. Google provides the sign-in service. These providers may process information as needed to deliver their services under their own terms and privacy policies.
How information is shared
We share information only with the service providers described above, when required to comply with law or protect the service, or as part of a business transfer. We do not make your journals public or share them with other Taread users.
Your choices and data deletion
You can use Taread without signing in, in which case progress is stored on that device. You can sign out at any time and delete individual journal entries in the app. You can also revoke Taread’s Google access from your Google Account permissions.
To request deletion of your account and associated cloud data, contact the project through the Taread support page. We may need to verify that you own the account before completing a request.
Data retention and security
Account data is retained while your account is active or as needed to provide Taread. We use reasonable technical safeguards, including per-user database access controls, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Children’s privacy
Taread is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Taread changes. The effective date at the top of this page will show when it was last revised.
